ＣＨ１１ ＣＨ１１は、東京の下町の南北に長い敷地に建つ住宅です。６畳の広さの中庭を介して住宅の北側１階にも日差しが届く工夫がされています。 周囲を集合住宅などで囲まれていますが、中庭とそこに開いた開口部は、プライバシーを守るのに役立っています。
CH11 is a house built on a long north-south site in downtown Tokyo, with a six-mat wide courtyard that allows sunlight to reach the first floor on the north side of the house. Although the house is surrounded by apartment buildings, the courtyard and its openings help to protect privacy.

ＣＨ１１外観 南（写真左）からの太陽光が中庭を介して北側（写真右）の１階にも注ぐよう、南棟の屋根は急こう配で中庭部分で低く抑えられている。

南棟（平屋）内部 南棟はダイニングキッチンに使われているが、道路に面した南側は高窓より採光している。

和室より 和室より、中庭を介してリビング、ダイニングを見る。和室は１階北側奥にあるが、南側からの外光が注ぐ空間となっている。
From the Japanese-style room From the Japanese-style room, the living and dining rooms are seen through the courtyard. The Japanese-style room is located at the north end of the first floor but is flooded with natural light from the south. |

和室 中庭デッキとつながり、畳、独立柱、引戸などの要素と組み合わされて、開放的な和室空間を形づくっている。

中庭夕景 中庭は、ＣＨ１１の各部分に囲われて、周囲のマンションから各部屋のプライバシーを守る役割も果たしている。

階段格子と水回り 階段を取り巻く格子は、階段上部よりの光を隣室に伝えつつ、薄い仕切りともなっている。
Stair grates and water features The lattice surrounding the staircase transmits the light from the top of the staircase to the next room and also serves as a thin partition. |

２階ホール 階段を２階に上がるとホールがあり、屋上デッキにつながる。南棟の屋根がプライバシーを守る圧迫感の無い壁の役割も果たしている。
2nd Floor Hall Stairs lead up to the second floor, where the hall is located and leads to the roof deck. The roof of the south wing also serves as a gentle wall that protects privacy without being oppressive. |
